Impress Publishing are a Bespoke Christmas Card publisher who also provide mail order fulfilment to around 30 different charities. We can help with the supply of individual card designs at highly competitive prices and also with complete Christmas mail order campaigns. We have a dedicated studio team who create and manipulate artwork on demand, coupled with close links to many top design agencies. This enables us to provide you with an almost infinite selection of images to choose from.
To support and enhance our card publishing business we also provide a comprehensive 1st class mail order fulfilment service to those customers for whom we also produce cards. Impress also carries a range of community gift lines each year that are supplied risk free to the charities who use our fulfilment service.
We produce all our cards in the UK using top quality materials to give you first class products at the best possible prices. Our board is imported from Fedregoni in Italy and is FSC certificated as are our envelopes. Our printers also have FSC chain of custody certification.
Impress Publishing has attained FSC Chain of Custody Certification and can print all FSC Trademarks on the products we produce.
Call Centre
The telephones at Impress Publishing are manned from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. In addition to this we extend our ordering times until 7pm during the peak period (first week in October until the first week in December). A voice activated automatic response telephone provides weekend and night cover.
Fulfilment Reports
Impress Publishing supply a set of weekly/cumulative reports that allow you to have complete clarity and peace of mind regarding the operational status of your campaign. These are sent to you by email in an excel spreadsheet.
Stock Report - Example
The standard stock tracking report gives detailed information on each product. This includes stock levels and stock demand by channels of distribution.
Order Tracking Report - Example
The order tracking report gives a breakdown of the number of orders received each day, the value of goods ordered, the number of orders left to be despatched, the daily packing charge and the daily donation income received.
Donations Report - Example
This will enable you to track all donations made to your charity and is supplied in a format that can be mail merged for sending thank you letters to your supporters and providing you with a Gift Aid audit record.
Accounting
Banking for Impress Publishing customers is tailored to your specific requirements within a few guidelines. Daily banking is carried out for orders placed the previous day into your nominated account.

A fully itemised banking report is available using a database package to reconcile copy statements and the banking reports. Banking summaries can be provided as an audit tool to aid your finance department in its reconciliation and balancing of its income.
Banking Summary - Example
Credit card payments are processed through WorldPay. There are two options available:
- Payments are paid into the Impress Publishing WorldPay account and the funds are transferred at regular intervals.
- Payments are paid into the charity’s own WorldPay account. This can be set up on request. We prefer to pay direct into your account.
Cost
Impress Publishing charges in a different way to many other fulfilment houses in that we levy a handling % on the selling price of the products distributed. This varies dependent on the products to be mailed and is negotiated prior to the start of the Christmas campaign. This structure allows you to budget for a campaign effectively; you only pay fulfilment handling on the goods distributed.
Typically a client wishing to run a Christmas card brochure with Impress community gift lines will be paying around 12.5%-15% of the goods retail value plus postage to distribute their goods to domestic mail order supporters.
